you're creating the very arguments that you're "refuting" i haven't seen a single case of finger nails used to justify abortion, also being human isnt the measure here it whether the fetus is conscious or not, if it doesn't have a functioning brain yet then your not killing anything, even in the case of people if theyre brain dead while theyre technically "alive" theyre essentially dead theres not a single documented case of someone ever recovering from that

Yeah, so I don’t argue that fingernails are the same as a fetus. But I argue that a fetus doesn’t and shouldn’t have the same right to live and choose as the person whose body it is using. You can’t grant bodily autonomy to both, so I grant it to the one that’s actually sentient and capable of a conscious experience, and has the capacity to suffer.

yeah but working with themselves the mother keeps the baby alive with her own body she builds it, yeah the egg and sperms carrie the instructions to build the baby's body but where does it get the material? all from the mom, the baby's bones are made from the mom's bones, literally pregnant womens bones lose density because the baby is taking the calcium and compounds to build itself from the mother, as long as the actual biological function of a baby is dependent its the mother's decision. once the baby is born they can breath and circulate blood and build itself with itself regardless of needing to be provided nutrients still it can build itself and grow on its own and breath and live on its one.
