This is what irritates me about The Escape Podcast at times. Those guys are funny but they have fully admitted they don't read comics and only watch films and sometimes they'll say something and I'm like "do they not get that this is a terrible adaptation of this part of the story or character?" and then I remember "Oh right, they don't get it because they don't care to read comics. They only watch movies" and idk, i just feel like you can't form valid opinions about comic book characters without reading comics because how can you form a real take while missing a HUGE chunk of the information? It doesn't make any sense 🙄

Genuinely, you can be a superhero fan without reading comics through watching the movies and stuff, but don’t call yourself a comic book fan if you don’t read them
