A lot of people don’t want to admit this, but somebody else winning, showing success, buying something nice, or enjoying what they worked for should not make you feel insignificant. If it does, there may be something inside you that still needs work. Because when you’re truly confident in your own path, another person’s success doesn’t threaten you. It doesn’t take anything away from what you’re building. You can see somebody else winning and still know: My time is coming. My path is mine. Their success has nothing to do with my worth. A lot of insecurity shows up disguised as criticism. Sometimes the problem is not that they’re “doing too much.” Sometimes it’s that what they’re doing is reminding you of where you don’t feel secure yet. Fix that. Get your ducks in a row. Build yourself up. Handle your business.
