For context. This was 1990 in January! Whitney had just done a 14 date, 9 city tour in Japan. Michael Jackson had PERSONALLY asked her to come and perform in his honor for an award banquet honoring him, in Los Angeles. She personally flew from Japan after her tour wrapped and throughout her tour she was sick and congested and those performances are on YouTube. This is the rehearsal not the actual performance and the arrangement is different than she normally sings in her live shows. The day of the performance she literally had everyone thrown off their feet. Lastly, this was Whitney’s prime, she was only 26.
