$4,700? Go higher! I work at an agency and contract influencers on behalf of brands and you could easily charge triple your asking rate. From a negotiation standpoint, identify three things: where you’d like to start negotiations, how low you’re willing to go, and what you’re willing to be flexible on if they have a set budget (lowering usage, exclusivity, or adjusting deliverables?)

Influencer marketer here, I liaise between clients and creators at a major agency- IMO, you’re underselling yourself. Most clients/brands care more about follower size, engagement rate, and authenticity. I think you could price everything for at least triple of what you’re asking. Brand dependent of course, but would try it!

This type of rate IS justified if you have an audience to back it AND the brand cares about audience and/or a recognizable face. Brands are not going to pay this for standard UGC content from creators that don’t have an audience / a lot of times they really just want asset volume. I work on the agency side and my clients (maaaaajor brands) are constantly pushing for $1-2K per vid for all rights in perpetuity. And I will literally only win the project if I can find creators that will work with that.

I gave my rate for a UGC video to an agency for $400…long story short the project got a little more complex so I was going to back out and in order to keep me since the client had already approved me they offered me an additional $1100…that tells me their budget was always $1500 and I was underselling myself. But then you have other brands who are like hey I can offer you $100. Ugh the pay is so all over the place!

I’ve worked with influencers from all types for past 5 years, it boils down to WHO is asking for the collab and WHAT is in this package deal. To add to that, not everyone is going to offer thousands for a video however, one you build that portfolio and media kit to show high level brands you build that credibility that you can deliver and the rates will follow
