personally, i would say Wolverine, Charles, Magneto and Mystique/Cyclops (even tho the last two are not heroes) they’re all most iconic and well-known characters when you mention the name X-Men, that’s why Fox/Marvel literally casted big names just for 4 of them and the stories revolved around them in all live action X-Men movies

Definitely disagree. Cyke and Storm are non-negotiable. They have both led the team for decades. Your other two picks I disagree with. I love Beast but you’re incorrect about him being an X-Men staple. In fact he’s left the X-Men for long stretches. He’s been on The Avengers. The Defenders, The Illuminati, The Secret Avengers and more. He’s an X-man first and foremost, but he’s bounced around too much to on the Mt. Rushmore. Wolverine gets that spot for sure. He’s too popular and too important. he’s mentored Kitty Pryde and Jubilee. He’s travelled back in time to save the world. I’m also going to put Nightcrawler over Jean Grey. Jean is also gone for long stretches of time when she’s “dead”, then becomes the Phoenix. (Who’s an amalgamation of Jean and Phoenix and not really Jean herself). I’m giving the final slot to Nightcrawler. He is the soul of the X-Men. He’s the moral compass. He grounds them. He deserves his place on the mountain.
