Getting my drone up at sunset over Zaanse Schans ended up being a great decision — one I almost didn’t make. After spending the entire day walking through this beautiful area, seeing it all come together from above felt incredibly special. The canals, historic windmills, and surrounding countryside all stretched out beneath us, glowing in soft sunset colors. Watching the sky fade from blue to pink and purple while the reflections settled over the water completely changed how I experienced this place. It was one of those moments that reminded me how worth it it is to slow down and see things from a different perspective — especially at the end of a long day. 🌅🚁 📍 Zaanse Schans — Netherlands Zaanse Schans is a historic village just outside Amsterdam, known for its well-preserved windmills, wooden houses, and traditional workshops. Once an industrial area powered by wind energy, it’s now one of the best places to experience classic Dutch landscapes and history all in one place.

🌞 Channeling Ancient Sunshine & New Beginnings with this Lapis Lazuli Scarab! ✨ Just look at that deep celestial blue! ✨ This isn't just a beautiful carving, it's a piece of ancient Egyptian magic, reimagined for today.🪲 In ancient Egypt, the scarab beetle was the ultimate symbol of optimism and renewal. They saw the beetle rolling a ball of dung and connected it to their god Khepri, who rolled the sun across the sky each morning. The scarab became a powerful reminder that every day brings a fresh start and the promise of rebirth.☀️ So, why carve it from precious lapis lazuli? This stone was more valuable than gold to the pharaohs. Sourced all the way from Afghanistan, its rich blue color, speckled with golden pyrite, was seen as a piece of the night sky itself. It was associated with the heavens, the hair of the gods, and was believed to hold divine power. To own or be buried with a lapis scarab was to ensure protection and a sacred place among the stars in the afterlife.🌌 As we move into 2026, I love having this timeless piece as a reminder to embrace our own power for renewal, to carry a piece of the cosmic sky with us, and to always look forward to the sunrise of new possibilities. 🌅 #LapisLazuli #Scarab #AncientEgypt #Khepri #NewBeginnings
