I completely agree with you, and what you’re saying makes perfect sense. In Saudi Arabia, a woman can be fully independent, educated, have a career and earn her own money, and her husband is still expected to financially provide for the household. Her independence doesn’t suddenly make her responsible for half the bills. Her salary is hers. This is completely normal where I come from, so seeing women in the comments shocked by this is honestly fascinating to me.
