If a performance improvement plan is “offered” to you, request a stacked ranking of your measured performance versus the performance of your immediate peers. Not saying it’ll SAVE your job, but it will be a paper trail that gives you a fighting chance.

What can I do about my job putting so much work on one person that it’s impossible to complete everything because you are never given time to do the work but they tell you hey why has this not been done. Then you try to explain and they saw I don’t want to hear excuses. But your just telling the truth

I remember I moved to a different role within my same department. I was 2 weeks in and had limited training and the manager said I was going to be put on a PIP. He was a brand new manager and was on a power trip. Guy was such a clown and a horrible manager.

Had a manager put me on a PIP despite telling me I was doing well for two months and only been there for five months at the time. It came right after he accused me of looking at his monitor after he told me to come to his desk after a meeting. It was an open office and everyone could see each other’s monitors. He just sat at the back and kept it where only he could see it. Other managers didn’t do it. No idea what he was doing but I got the hell out of there. Nothing good can come from whatever he was up to.

I got a wrongful PIP because I turned down an assignment then months later management that gave me the PIP was demoted lol I'm the lucky few PIP survivors

They did this to me when I was a bank teller & I ended up quitting but jokes on them cuz I went from making $12/hr at a job I hated to $15/hr doing resort housekeeping (which I love & am still doing but at a different resort now)
