We should never own them, but do not leave them on a shelf for someone harmful to find. That's our role with any racist historical items we come across. Nothing more than a conduit. There is a National Black Doll Museum close to where I live that has a collection of those dolls, toys, etc. I was confused at first, but sat with it and understand why that history needs to be told. It is where it needs to be and tells the history that needs to be told.
