Lindsay Clancy was sent to a ward after suffering a postpartum psychosis. She was briefly in the ward before lying her way out. On the night of the tragedy, she then created time alone with her three children by sending her husband out for food and medicine. While he was gone, she brought the kids into the basement, lined them up and had the face down while she tangled them each of them with exercise resistance bands. Stangulation is not instant it took 3-5 minutes per kid and the next kids had to watch their sibling slowly loose their life. The last one waiting 10 minutes to suffer the same fate. Afterward, she tried to kill herself, injured herself, and jumped from a second story window. She survived but was left paralyzed. Her husband came home to a silent house, found her outside, asked where the kids were, and she told him, “in the basement.” He ran downstairs and found all three of his children, faces blue and eyes nearly bulging out. Now people are arguing about postpartum psychosis and even trying to blame the husband, but he is not the one on trial for killing three children.
