Then Dieselgate hit in 2015, petrol overtook it within a couple of years, and it never recovered — down to just 10% by 2025. it's a forced progression. they're still majority corporate, supported by government laws & grants, but they are still too expensive & range anxiety ecists. Also they are all new, the second hand car market for ICE is lively. Everyone knows a second hand battery on anything is dodgy.
