IMO his take is correct. I won’t preorder until the day before or of early access. And it’s ridiculous to give buyers no physical media option. I actually think games are priced low these days. But rather than raise cost, pay for your propaganda to inform the masses, they cut physical media and ownership. I’m glad someone is at least doing something to mildly bother them.

mind you were talking about a company that has always delivered on their games since Grand theft Auto San Andreas. they've literally always been bangers to their selective audiences and they have an amazing track record for making good games. there's no shame in buying into rockstars releases before. they've even shown them off because we already know it's going to be good.

I hate how everyone is like "then don't pre order" that's not how systems work guys. People are always going to be fucking stupid. This is why we have consumer protection laws. in reality, offering pre-orders shouldn't even be legal for this exact reason.

The buildup to GTA 6 alone has probably already convinced Rockstar that they can do whatever they want in terms of micro transactions, this game could be hot garbage on wheels and people would still pay $100+ dollars for it
