Hi Moonbox fam! We’d love to bring you guys along for this part of the journey. It’s been an incredible start. We’re already at $360K in pledges thanks to you guys, and we made some great connections with founders and companies at SuperZoo in Las Vegas. This coming month, a lot of our focus is going into refining the small but important details before we lock in the molds. We thought this would be the perfect opportunity to brainstorm together and get your input while we still have the ability to make thoughtful improvements. Here are 3 things we’re currently thinking about: 1. Custom biodegradable waste bags Moonbox currently fits most standard plastic grocery bags. That was intentional because we never wanted to force you to buy proprietary bags from us. But we’ve gotten a lot of requests for a snug-fitting biodegradable option made specifically for the waste drawer. Would you use these if we offered them? 2. Optional odor pod We connected with a company that makes a non-toxic odor pod designed to neutralize and control odors rather than simply masking them. They can create a custom-sized version specifically for Moonbox. We’re considering designing a dedicated slot for an optional odor pod somewhere in the Moonbox. Would you use it? 3. Help us design the ramp We’re working on a detachable ramp for senior cats, disabled cats, and cats with mobility issues, but we want to get this right. If you were designing the perfect ramp for your cat, what would it look like? Longer and more gradual? Steps instead of a ramp? Wider? Textured for better grip? Something else? If you have a senior or disabled cat, we’d especially love to hear what would work best for them. These are still ideas we’re exploring, so no wrong answers!
