It sounds like she meant they clicked right when they met in 2017 at USA basketball, but that Azzi got to UConn her sophomore year. The article made it sound like they didn’t meet til then, but they’d been close for years before that- I remember they quarantined together during Covid before Paige went to UConn. Nice that they feel comfortable enough to open up a little bit.

Could you imagine if people would’ve found out they were dating while playing on the same college team together under one of the strictest coaches ever? There’s a reason they kept it private.
