I can barely get my GP to prescribe me anything. Tells me “Fibromyalgia is very liveable these days” how can I get him to prescribe this for me to try

the study they did on naltrexone was not definitive. I also tried it for months and it didn't work at all.

Look. I love ur posts. But they are just now frustrating me. My Dr won’t give me anything for the pain. Nothing. Zilch. Nada. Just keeps telling me to exercise, pace…. So unless you can physically come to the apt with me, this is unhelpful.

My doctor won’t prescribe it for me 😭 they’ve put me on stronger opioids and they’re not touching my pain. My baseline level seems to have increased significantly but nothing helps

my gp won't even consider it because apparently the NHS won't prescribe it, I took a long list of different medications and was refused all of them, given some snri and sent on my way, didn't help me, made me worse because I couldn't eat and was always nauseous, lost some weight I couldn't afford to lose so stopped taking them, have had all options available to me apparently, pregablin and gabapentin weren't options on the NHS either

you need to go private for LDN and not be on any codeine based meds. Didn't work for me at all was on it for 9m

Rose Marie Speaks :
I've asked my GP and her registrar, who was therefor the last 6 months, about low-dose naltrexone for fibromyalgia because I've been on pregabalin for about 5 years now. I'd really like to try something else because, even though it sort of dampens it, I do need to take amitriptyline when I flare as well. I've asked them about it, and they say it's not really a thing in Australia because naltrexone is seen only as something to use for addiction purposes
