Duty to retreat makes sense in places like New Jersey and New York because of how densely populated we are. You start shooting in manhattan, you EASILY can hit multiple unintended targets.

in md we have the castle doctrine, so we don’t have to retreat before defending ourselves in our own homes. but the amount of force we use has to match the level of threat apparently 💀
