A lot of us would rather lose money than put out something we know won’t look good long term. 2. “Bigger tattoos = artists trying to charge more” ❌ Not always. Sometimes we’re just behind, not ignoring you. 4. “Good tattoos should be quick” ❌ A clean tattoo takes time. Good linework takes time. Good shading takes time. I’d rather take longer and give somebody something solid than rush through it and have them wear a mistake forever. 5. “If an artist is expensive, they’re overcharging” ❌ You’re not paying just for the tattoo. You’re paying for years of mistakes, learning, practice, equipment, sanitation, design time, and experience. Anybody can buy a machine… not everybody can give you a tattoo that still looks good years later. 6. “Any tattoo artist can tattoo anything” ❌ This one is huge. Every artist has strengths. Some are great in realism, some are great in anime, some are great in traditional. Finding somebody that actually specializes in what you want matters way more than people realize. 7. “Once the tattoo is done, the hard part is over” ❌ Nope! Healing matters more than people think.
