for those saying but asians put sugar in their hot meals. i can’t speak for all asian food. but from where im from. it’s true we do. but sugar is used to “round” the flavours, add colour through caramelisation or add a umami layer. not to specifically make sweet. a lot of our cooking ideas around balancing flavours

This is such a lie😂 I just spent almost 3 weeks in Korea. EVERYTHING WAS SWEET. I ordered an egg sandwich, they ladled sugar and cinnamon on top. I ordered a hot dog, it tasted like it was covered in sweet mayo. I ordered alcohol, this Sujo stuff came out that was sweet, too easy to drink and got me blind drunk. Actually, that last one was pretty good.
