@cbsla: After more than 8 years, the retrial of the man charged with second-degree murder in the death of a 27-year-old Trader Joe's assistant manager, who was fatally shot by police in front of the Silver Lake store in 2018, has concluded with a jury finding him guilty of the crime. Earlier in June, a jury acquitted Gene Evin Atkins, 36, of first-degree murder and deadlocked 10-2 on the second-degree murder charge. He was convicted of 40 other charges, including attempted murder, assault with a semi-automatic firearm on a peace officer, attempted carjacking and mayhem.

Geoff Rhodes :
First of all, so the man convicted of second degree murder is a cop? And second, how is 10-2 a deadlock?
