And their rebuttals to this are usually like “Allah punishes both genders equally for disobeying these commands” however, the punishment for males not obeying the modesty commands are not nearly as spoken about as much as women disobeying the modesty commands especially in the hadiths, and they forget that both men and women have to lower their gaze and forget that women can have as much sexual urges as a man does therefore it’s more restricting to a woman because they must cover from head to toe even when it’s burning outside and men can just where jorts and a loose shirt, AND lower their gaze. That’s not very equal.

Men are also required to grow out their beards and shave their moustache and its fard in the Sunni religion. They’re not allowed to shave it or shape it but many of them don’t do that esp in the west bc they think it’s ugly lol

before anyone says it's culture not religion, many of these cultures didn't even care about modesty let alone shame women for it. culture and religion are intertwined. the fact that Muslim women's hijab has more restrictions will always result in the women getting policed more for it because it's about purity culture of women. there is nothing wrong with modesty on its own but Abhramic religions makes it a morality issue

we are not allowed to wear tight fits, covering from navel to knee length. modesty is applicable to us to, one of the best hijab for us is lowering the gaze. only advising women on modesty is not right what's in the religion should be followed goes both ways

You are partly right girl. But Muslim men are encouraged to court, date and marry women of other faiths specially Christians ( who are more liberal) but if a Muslima even talks to a non Muslim she will be shamed, scolded or even forced to stay indoors. They use Islamic doctrine and force and even unaliving the Muslima. I feel Islam is more of a cult than a religion.

I’m from a Muslim country and you are right. I’m the Muslims country woman can’t sit beside man no matter what women are wearing.Man will try best to touch their body. Woman can’t go to market place , Muslim man touches women back or press front private part. When women try to caught them, they despair quickly or pretend a naive man. By wearing a long dress and have long beard they are convinces people that they are very religious.

If all muslim men obeyed the Quran's teaching of lowering their gaze from any woman who isnt their wife, muslim women could walk round naked there would be no need for hijabs or burkhas. Lets face it theres nothing about hijabs or burkhas in the Quran but plenty of instructions to men for the protection of women
