You can’t compare Star Citizen to Nomansky. Nomansky never sold a $49k DLC and fixed the game without asking for more money.

Idk how people compare it to no mans sky. No mans sky was out for like, a day before the devs decided to turn it around and redeem the game. Star citizen has been “playable” for almost nine years and the devs won’t even admit when there’s issue with the game. You can’t have a no mans sky without a no man’s sky dev team dedication.

yall out here hating but i dont see yall doing anything even close to what star citizen has achieved, sure its buggy sometimes things break and get fixed but as someone whos played for 6 years you learn to laugh at the bugs hang out with friends in different star systems do broken missions and hope they end up working well and yes deal with a fair amount of greifers that make cargo hauling hell but its more about the friends you make than the game itself. No mans sky is fun but after a bit becomes repetitive and kind of boring that might just be me tho no hate

I play a lot of Star Citizen, and have invested around $250 on top of the initial $45. The game is a horribly buggy mess- but it also is very fun to dick around in. I treat it like the worlds most expensive indie sandbox: because it is. Can I shoot shells out of a fuckin tank from the front bay of a ship in the most visually stunning manner high end machines dream of? Yes. Is this elevator going to let me in/out? I don't know man. I don't know.

Lmao, no man’s sky isn’t even remotely comparable. NMS initial failure wasn’t that the game was broken, it all worked, it just wasn’t what was hyped up to be. Star citizen has been in development for over a decade, raked in over a billion dollars, but only has an incredibly broken ‘alpha’ build available to play.

There’s many MANY reasons why Star citizen is not finished yet… but when you consider the cost of their Manchester office ALONE per month.. you’ll realise where 1 billion disappears to..most of which money they did not have for the games current development timeframe
