my german shepherd was diagnosed with hip displacier at 5 yrs old but she did ok until 12yrs old they were to bad and she kept falling on walks,sadly was too much for her and had to put our baby to sleep

Mine is only half German shepherd and he’s had hip dysplasia since he was a puppy. We finally got both his hippies replaced

mine also struggled with it. he was put to sleep at 12, he couldnt handle the pain anymore. didnt wanna walk at all, … and we didnt want him to suffer.

parents had two gorgeous Shepherds, both died at 9, not long enough, horrible, like I lost a brother both times, bowel torsion and doggie MS, was torture. they are amazing family members...

We just lost our beautiful Shep after her black and tan brother passed away several years ago exact same problem. She couldn’t walk anymore. We tried everything spent tons on medication. Arthritis shots. There is nothing more heartbreaking than have to make that decision.

But people still think getting a dog because it race is way more predictable than getting a mix. Always adopt and never shop…. This aside always praying for furry babies to get the best life good to know he doing al right ❤️

my dog is a senior belgian shepherd and has mild hips dysplasia. ik severe is something else but you really can't avoid it entirely
