The stupidest part is if the employee wasn't also rude then he still could have gotten a discounted regular rate. Now he gets nothing. Even if your manager is rude and entitled, that doesn't mean you should be as well

I had this happen to me when I worked front desk. I told them no and they should follow corporate rules. Then I hung up. My GM laughed the next day and told me good job. 😂

It’s sad, but true, that so many GMs think they can automatically give directives to employees that aren’t under them, especially when they work for the same company. Different locations have their own GMs for a reason.
