I love meats, and I am somewhat fascinated with the "carnivore" diet hypothesis. However, humans are omnivores, all you need to do is look at our teeth to see we evolved by eating both plant and animal foods. This debate seems to be quite political, in that, there is a belief that lefties are pushing for herbivore diets and righties are pushing for carnivore diets. Generally, the best practice to follow is a mix of everything rather than a gluttony of only a few things. I am a biochemist by training and there is a ton of misinformation coming from both sides and that is largely proliferated by social media. Eat a well balanced diet of "real foods" (1 ingredient on the label), drink only water as your fluid, walk every day, try to manage a healthy sleep schedule, try to reduce stress (meditate, yoga, mindfulness). You do not need to drink protein shakes, or eat specialized processed foods, just eat a variety of real foods. Steaks every day is not going to end well for your cardiovascular system.
