When I was active Duty in the army, I told my platoon Sergeant that I wanted to 💀 myself. He immediately took me to the behavioral health office on base and told them what I had said they sent me away and did not help me because I did not have a plan. I attempted that next week. Mental health, especially women’s mental health is not taken seriously in this country.

Because in any cases: medical help,mental health, suicide, dv, abuse no one takes it seriously until someone ends up de*ad. Most these cases involves a women. Very telling that women are not taken seriously.

Agree with you how it’s sad. In an ideal world, everyone would be helped with their mental health. Unfortunately, it’s all about money. The suicide hotline and mental health institutions can’t afford to assist or provide resources for every suicidal person, so they have to prioritize the most at risk people first. Wish everyone could be helped though without having financial resources as a thought.
