My first baby was breech too and I remember feeling defeated because it wasn’t the plan. I also did the ECV and it was terribly painful. Ended up having a c section and it all worked out thank god but so valid to feel the way you do! You’ll just get a baby with crazy legs that don’t go down for a few weeks lmao.

A c-section is still a birth and even if it feels scary and less than natural - it’s just another way to have things be safe for everyone. I think we always bash c sections because we believe the only “correct” option is natural labor - but in the past, not all births worked. There were a lot that failed. Both mom and baby were at risk when things weren’t aligning safely. So now the introduction of the c section can simply save lives. We can’t control our fate and god plans the best option for our path. I was in your position and the minute I embraced the plan written for me, I lost resistance to what I wanted and accepted what the bigger plan needed. Inshalah you and baby will be safe and together soon and that everything will be smooth! That’s what matters. ❤️

thinking of you as you navigate this. look into your OB’s options to make the C-section as “yours” as possible: you can have music playing, you can ask if they can do a clear drape so you can see baby being born (if you want), you can still ask for skin to skin if they’re able to do that too. also stock up on high waisted frida mom undies and a belly binder will help so much. Moxibustion acupuncture honestly helped me flip my breech baby🥹 i did that and straight after my appt, i did the frozen bag method, and placed it on my belly and a warm rice sock down below. I think it helped for sure? Mine was breech up until the very last min. I truly didnt want to go through the ect either. Worth a try? Best of luck InshaAllah x

Becoming a postpartum nurse has grown my love, compassion, and respect for mothers so much. It has also opened my eyes to how much more we can advocate for our patients. I believe we need to speak up about pain management during procedures that can be extremely painful—whether it’s during postpartum hemorrhage management, uterine procedures, or other interventions during and after deliveries. I had the ECV too and it was so painful and it didn’t work either. Baby still has time to turned though! But if you do have a schedule c section, I have to say it was much better then my vagina birth lol

i had the same feelings towards ecv and hearing this is somehow comforting bc i struggled with the “what ifs” but ended up not going through with it. I am praying your baby turns on their own soon though i can’t imagine what you’re feeling after having 2 smooth vaginal deliveries 🫶🏻 all feelings are so valid!!

I had such a traumatic and rough natural birth with my almost 11 lbs first baby that I was glad to have a c section recommended for my second. It’s just harder to recover from but the process is pretty smooth and predictable. Birth and postpartum are always difficult no matter what but what matters is that you get to meet you baby safely. Your feelings are valid. Hope you get the outcome you want and Allah makes it safe and easy for you and baby 🤲
