Fiscal responsibility is invaluable. I get anxious about the 500$ on my card I use to help keep my credit above 800 but finding out multiple people my age and younger with thousands in debt with nothing to really show for it is a great weight off my chest 😅

iistill have about $5K in credit card debt that was sold off to a collections agent. but that's not my problem anymore, they bought it, it's their responsibility to pay it back to the original credit kender, a filing of a 1099-B fork the next quarter with the IRS fixes my problem of not getting able to get a new card without needing to file a bankruptcy claim. THANKFULLY SOMEHOW my student loans for both ITT and UEI were forgiven. ITT I get; The company was shut down mid-program, but UEI is still in business so that was some kind of financial miracle. Still upset i couldn't finish my architecture degree but I'll be enrolling in the UC system next fall anyway.

i have an ex who constantly bragged to everyone about how much money she made, meanwhile she had multiple accounts in collections. she would get upset with me that I wouldn't do the same because "credit card debt isn't real". not saying this to dunk on her, but to say: do not judge yourself by how other people present. because you really don't know
