@funwiththejohnsons: Six weeks with kids sounded like a GREAT idea when I booked it. 😂✈️ This is officially the longest trip my kids and I have ever taken together, and baby…we are learning as we go. Not just them. ME. I’m learning we don’t need an activity every day. We need groceries, familiar snacks, downtime and days where nobody is being rushed out the door. I’m learning that sometimes the thing they’ll talk about most isn’t what I spent weeks planning, it’s playing with cousins, riding the bus or discovering a new favorite snack. And I’m definitely learning that traveling slowly gives us something a one-week vacation never really could: the chance to stop feeling like visitors and start figuring out what everyday life feels like somewhere else. Is everything going according to plan? Absolutely not. 😂 But I think that’s becoming one of my favorite parts.
