I just learned that we are entering an age where standard deviation in weather models no longer works. Where statistics no longer do what we are used to. The models don’t tell us with a certainty anymore as we are going more random.

All over the southern U.S., you see people denying just how warm this summer. "It's normal", "This happens every year", etc. I have been telling people since the end of May that we were in for a bad and long summer because of this El Niño. People will ignore the sweat in their eyes and ungodly heat on their backs before they admit that yes, climate can change this severely in just a year.
