انا اولادي لما نزلت بيهم مصر فتره مش كبيره بعد ما كنت مربياهم علي عدم نطف الألفاظ السيئة و علي الانتظام في الصلاه لما شافوا الولاد المسلمين هناك من العائله و غيرها بيقولوا الفاظ عادي و مش ملتزمين لا بحجاب و لا صلاه فقلدوهم بحجه انهم مسلمين اهو زينا يا ماما و عاااادي و من ساعه ما رجعت و انا بحاول ارجع المبادئ دي تاني ، شوف اخي الكريم كلامك صح جدااا لو كان في زمن قبل اللي احنا فيه دلوقتي ايام ما مصر كان فيها عييييب يا ولد حراااام يا ولد اتقي الله ، و الولد يسمعلك و يحترم الكبير بس دلوقتي مصر زي امريكا بس علي المتداري لدرجه انه بقي فيه استهزاء بالولاد لو قريبين من ربنا و يتقاله انت مش راجل يالا و اللا ايه ما تجرب و يتقال للبنت انتي كده خانقينك في البيت و ده مش من حقهم ، الكلام ده صح لو مصر لسه زي زماااان ، ربنا يرجع بلاد المسلمين زي ما كانت بخيرها و عقيدتها و اهلها الطيبين

Don’t listen to him. I came here when I was very young and have been in the U.S. for over 20 years. Alhamdulillah I’m still holding on to my Deen and there are many other Muslims who have done the same. It really comes down to how you raise your children. If you don’t know how to parent or instill strong values in your kids then there’s a higher chance they may turn away from the religion.

You left Egypt because you believed you had no future there, and you came to America after God gave you the opportunity to build a better life. Yet now you criticize the very country that gave you rights and opportunities you probably dreamed of having. Being Muslim is not just about what religion you claim it is also about your character, your behavior, and how you treat other people. The Prophet ﷺ was praised by Allah with the words: **“And indeed, you are of a great moral character.”** (Qur’an 68:4) You say Americans “love this worldly life” and therefore shouldn’t have children. But many Americans have built a society where children’s health, education, safety, and rights are taken seriously from childhood into adulthood. That is not something to mock it is something to appreciate. And while you are giving people advice about safety, you are literally driving while filming yourself. That is dangerous and could cause an accident. This is exactly why societies have rules: to protect human life. In many places in Egypt, people routinely ignore traffic laws running red lights, driving recklessly, and putting lives at risk. There are also children who throw rocks at trains and break windows, with little regard for the consequences or their own future. So I honestly don’t understand where you got the authority to lecture people about raising children and their future while ignoring the importance of responsibility and safety. And one more thing: many Egyptians I know in America are afraid to have children not because they are concerned about raising them, but because they are afraid of the financial responsibilities and legal obligations that come with having children. Unfortunately, some people want the benefits of family without wanting the responsibility that comes with it. Before criticizing an entire society, perhaps appreciate the good that society has given you and remember that **good character, responsibility, and respect for human life are values that belong to everyone, not to one religion or nationality.

I don’t agree! You may find the same any Muslim country. It comes down to the home you come from and how you integrate your religion and culture into your child’s life. I was raised here, with three adult children born and raised here…and they love their religion and culture! Everything is balanced. We are Egyptian American. Find the best in both cultures and teach religion through love of the religion. Islam is simple and beautiful Mashallah!
