My son is 32 now but when he graduated high school I made him write thank you cards. It was like I asked him to jump off a cliff. He finally got them done, brought them to me to check and he had addressed all of them to HIMSELF!

I find it wild no addresses with zip codes and numbers are not known. My kids HAD to be able to memorize and repeat it before being admitted to first grade.

I work with the juvenile court in my area. before being released from probation, they are required to be able to recite their name, DOB, address, phone number, and SSN. sad that it's necessary, but I think it's a great idea.
