Yes!!!! I don’t mind when people tell me “oh you look great for someone who has cancer” but there is times where yeah I look cute but I have a headache, I wanna vomit, my back hurts, and my neuropathy at 100 and yet we have to just suck it up…

Not a chronic illness but I felt super sick. went to the doctor and they said, well you look really healthy, even glowy! felt like I was dying and didn't eat for 5 days...peed in a cup, was sent home with zofran. turns out it was acute nonviral hepatitis. The glowy look must have been jaundice. 🙄 Seeing lys and you, now I advocate for myself.

I agree with this topic totally. I’ve been told in phone conversations that I sound good, but in reality I don’t feel good at times. It’s annoying, but this is something that’s not talked about enough

Absolutely. Especially now that treatment is over. Everyone expects me to be back to normal but I’m still dealing with so many issues from immunotherapy toxicity. Thyroid, colitis, arthritis. Haven’t had a “good” day in almost a year…but we learn to mask, I guess. Thinking of you, hope you feel better soon! ♥️
