my life was saved by a woman who's name I don't even remember, but wish I did. I was in a trap house on a binge. I had torn my face to shreds. she was passing through, the pregnant sober gf of one of the dealers in the house. she gave me 30 mins to gather my belongings and told me if she had to drag me out kicking and screaming just know she was trying to save my life. I was immediately admitted to the hospital she took me to. I was septic with MRSA in my blood and was told my heart would have stopped in a couple days at most from the infection. I later also found out I was being groomed by the guy housing me who I thought was my friend. he was going to put me out to work the streets. I had to stay for 2 weeks on a pic line so they could put antibiotics directly into my heart. she came and visited me often. i hate that I can't remember her name but I'll never forget what she did for me. this was like 12 yrs ago. I'm clean today.

it's wild to me the people that say "at least he brought her home..he could have left her for dead" he did. he could have taken her to a hospital, no questions asked and she could have been saved.

I worked in the mental health and addiction field for 3 years. I never met a nurse or a doctor that called the cops on someone who brought someone in who was actively oding. Ever.

Soooooooo from a family member of a substance abuser to the point of her death it’s not their fault. She knew the risks and I had to learn that way of thinking too when I was so blinded by rage from the people who enabled my family member to do such a thing. But she was the one to do it to herself. 😔 I’m so sorry for your road ahead and the things you have to now face because of her decisions not theirs. I will be praying 🙏 and I pray she gets the chance to go to rehab and find her way.

This is so awful! I totally understand the anger, but on the other hand, he did bring her home alive. For that I hope you can find a little bit of comfort. Curious to know did she willingly take the drug or was she forced? Praying she recovers. Praying for your family.

I want to know the whole story because this man could have left her wherever see was or even dumped her somewhere but he choose to take her to the family house. I believe he didn’t know she was dying maybe he thought she was just so out of it due to the substance. Also, I am sure he was on something to and wasn’t thinking clearly!
