@kc.perspective: We spend so much of life trying to own things houses, cars, money, land, relationships, status as if we’ll have them forever. But everything we have is temporary. Maybe that’s not a depressing thought. Maybe it’s freeing. You appreciate things differently when you understand that you’re here to experience them, care for them, love them, and eventually let them go. The house isn’t forever. The money isn’t forever. The body isn’t forever. Even the people we love aren’t promised to us forever. So perhaps the question isn’t “What do I own?” It’s “What am I doing with what I’ve been given while I have it?” What would you hold more lightly if you truly accepted that nothing lasts forever?
