@balancingbeams: I think my number 1 suggestion to a brand new twin mom who is nervous about going out with both babies (especially if you have other kids too) is honestly… just do it. I know that sounds way too simple. 😂 But you really won’t know what works for you and your babies until you try. Maybe someone cries…someone needs to go potty…one baby decides they absolutely do NOT want to be held that day or suddenly hates their car seat. (I know, I’m really selling this whole “getting out” thing. 😂) But none of it is forever! You get through the outing, learn something, and adjust the next time. Maybe your babies love the stroller, maybe they’d rather be worn, or maybe you realize you need to pack something differently or leave at a different time. You just won’t know until you go. And I’ve learned that getting out IS exhausting… but it’s a really good “I’m tired because we had a full day and did things” kind of tired. Not the “everyone is bored and grumpy and we’ve been stuck in the house all day” kind of tired. Plus… the less you’re home, the cleaner your house stays.
