@amy_santoro: Obviously, cross-examination still has to happen. But this was a huge win for the defense. #truecrime #lindsayclancy #crime #massachusetts #law

why would the prosecution bring religion into this? is that grounds for the prosecutor being disbarred? mistrial? they might be the worst prosecutors I've ever seen

As someone married to someone who has had psychosis….it can be very sneaky. They can be in full blown psychosis before you catch on. It can be very sneaky. I’ve learnt for my husband psychosis is more rooted in delusion and false beliefs than hallucinations. It doesn’t always look the same.

Do you think prosecution is losing the jury with her aggressive rudeness to literally everybody now? Today was intense

Legit question: what the actual fuck is the prosecution doing? Like do they think they’re doing a good job? Do they think they have a strategy? Please someone help me understand

My sister had PPP. Her husband missed all the signs because a lot of the time she “appeared” normal. My sister was homicidal and suicidal. My mother and I where the ones who clocked something was scarily off

It was so sad today when the prosecutor said to Patrick’s mom did you know Lindsay said she wasn’t close to you and she replied no. What was the point of that whole questioning? I was glad she gave Lindsay a sweet nod as she walked away

I would love to hear your thoughts about the prosecutor telling Dr Laposata that there was no testimony or evidence that the bands were tied around the kids necks, despite the fact that the prosecution specifically asked Patrick if they were tied like the first step of tying a shoelace a couple weeks ago

idk if this is an appropriate comparison but I saw a tt years ago where a guy with schizophrenia had a service dog that if the guy was having a visual hallucination he could ask the dog to greet them and if it was a real person the dog would greet them but if it was a hallucination it wouldn't. So the guy has enough cognition to think to double check with the dog but still doesn't know 100% for sure if what hes seeing is real. I think people only envision psychosis as babbling in a corner smearing 💩 on the walls or something when you can actually be fairly well functioning while also not having a grip on reality.

What do you think about the fact the psychologist is not only friends with the lawyer, but the psychologist was accused of telling the defendant to claim psychosis… a claim his lawyer friend is now pursuing, coincidentally?

When my sister was in psychosis she was able to go to work and pretty much seemed normal. Delusions can sometimes be centred around one or a few specific issues/places/people.

So I've experienced psychosis once.. It was three weeks into taking an SSRI for depression. I was hearing a man's voice telling me to kill myself and I kept seeing blood on my wrists telling me to cut them plus a constant narrative of a voice saying 'you are a burden. Everyone is better off without you! You need to leave everyone you love NOW!' it was very compelling and I couldn't argue with it or turn it off. During this time I was able to drive, buy paracetomol from multiple shops whilst having conversations with the desk clerk, call my daughter as in my head I thought it'd be good to have a positive interaction with her before I go, go to the shop NEXT to buy my son winter clothes to give to his dad so I knew he'd be OK for winter, drop my son off to his dad, check in at a hotel then do a video on my phone explaining why I'm going to kill myself... I was seeing figures in the hotel room, shadowy figures and yes I did attempt it. I was found just in time. Its been a couple of years now and it's been a long road to recovery but because I've experienced it I do believe you can act normal whilst being completely in psychosis. I never had thoughts of harming my children, just myself but I wasn't on a huge cocktail of drugs like lindsay, just one... Which was enough to tip me over the edge to make a serious attempt.

would you be calling prosecution "hairbow" if defendant were a man? if a man had killed the children? love your videos.... just seems that the negativity about the prosecution is a little much... the woman is doing what she is doing because she believe there should be justice for the children. maybe everyone doesn't agree.... but her intentions are for the children.

As someone diagnosed with BP Type 2 two years ago, I’ve only had one manic episode, but I promise you it’s terrifying. I could feel my brain amping my thoughts and emotions to levels of sadness and fear and hysteria and confusion that overtook my whole body. I was aware of it happening, but these thoughts gradually morphed into my reality.I had no control over it. I think people are trying to understand and judging her actions with their own brain, without the understanding of what a traumatized brain is capable of, and the inability to do anything about it while it’s happening. When I was younger, I was trapped with my mom who was in an episode of psychosis for 48 hours. She made phone calls, she even took me out to lunch, and had conversations. But she was not well and at the end of that 48 hour period our neighbors were calling the cops to have me removed for my mother’s care.
