if I can't see through the curb, I have a habbit of slowing down even more then the suggested speed sign. I think it pisses cars behind me off. Then as I can see through the curb, I adjust my throttle as I can see more of the curb. I live in Denver, so alot of my riding is on mountain hiways, so there is always a hill in your line of vision. I find going to a lower gear before entering gives you much more control.

I’m a pretty big newbie to riding and I’m simply having a hard time pressing the front brake and trying not to move the throttle, any tips?

I was young. don't get me started. I was completely sideways and my back tire caught some leaves on the side of road. then I was going about 30 on the road without a bike. the crankcase got scratched and it took a truck and chain too get back to road. You know that feeling when your hores throws you and you got ride anyway? lol 😆 🤣 😂

When you cut your throttle you lose power to the rear wheel. Power to the rear wheel is the foundation of control on your bike. When you cut your throttle, you don't get that control back until you throttle up enough to begin pushing the rear wheel again and that's not instantaneous.

I'm on trike now, cornering is way different. If you try and power through a curve, it wants to push. Learned that smooth throttle is way better!!!

this is a habit i desperately need to break. i have a bad habit of rolling off too much at times in curves and a few times its almost resulted in an accident. practice is key tho, better throttle control = better riding control

I did that a couple years back because I was trying to control a fish tail on a wet road. Ended up high siding and breaking my collarbone. Got a new bike out of it and learned an expensive lesson
