@the.legal.np: Today’s Lindsay Clancy trial was another reminder of just how medically and legally complex this case is. We heard testimony about Lindsay’s psychiatric care, her medical condition after the fall, the severity of her injuries, hypothermia and thermoregulation, and the records experts relied on to form their opinions. We also watched both sides challenge expert qualifications, prior testimony, documentation, and exactly how far an expert should be allowed to go with an opinion. Some of today’s testimony helped the prosecution. Some helped the defense. And some raised even more questions. This is why I keep saying: watch the evidence before choosing a side. A trial is not one witness, one quote, or one viral clip. It’s the entire picture presented to the jury. Day by day, we’re getting more of that picture. #LindsayClancy #LindsayClancyTrial #TrueCrime #CourtTok #LegalTok

Plymouth county is 80% catholic. That question offended at least half of the jury

Was absolutely DISGUSTED by the mortal sin question! In what world would it make sense or be relevant to ask that, also how awful to ask this woman who lost her grandbabies.

Tip :
You watched the Lindsay Clancy trial today, you testified? And you did that so we wouldn’t have to? Well. Is it safe to say that you are completely unaware of how many people there are in the world who did not watch the trial today because you did and they didn’t have to? “Objection.” I’ll rephrase the question. Is it safe to say those who did not watch the trial today are going to hell? “Counsel, let me talk to you over here for a sidebah.”

I couldn’t believe the prosecutor getting out the exercise band and flopping it on the table to try and say it wouldn’t have stayed tight 😳

I do not understand their obsession with the strangulation and the amount of time it took. If it took longer per child, wouldn't that raise more doubt that Lindsay could have done this in the small amount of time she had?

this trial made me realise how the doctors and psychotherapists that I had consults with are really really really bad and that's why I never truly got better from depression

I only really got to listen to Dr. Condi but i felt that, even tho it was speculative, his reasons that Lindsay maybe did not disclose certain symptoms makes a lot of sense

I love Dr. Laposata. I was sad she wasn't in person to combat with the prosecutor like she did with Brennan. "No."...silence 🤣

I’m most bothered by her attacking Dr Lapisota saying the bands were not tied when her own witness during her own questioning said they were tied.

Also the exercise bands are really really really confusing.. P testified that he had to untie them.. but today the prosecutor made it seem like the bands where just laying on the floor I just have so many questions and it feels like nothing is getting answered

Can anyone clarify for me why the prosecution is arguing so hard over how she landed? Is that in any way relevant to the prosecution they presented? Did they argue that she didn’t fall on her head? I feel like I’m missing the point somewhere. Or are they just trying to discredit her? Her landing on her head doesn’t confirm or deny attempt. It’s just science and physics. It’s not subjective in terms of intent. I’m so confused as to why it matters so much.

I thought that the statement that the chart was “sparse and full of check boxes and not many narrative notes.” I have been in nursing for 26 years. I have seen the change from lengthy (handwritten 🤪) narrative notes to the idea of “charting by exception” and basically an attempt to eliminate narrative notes. I have done assignments at hospitals that instruct nurses to NOT write notes and to ONLY use the flow sheets, etc. I would love to hear your take on this!

It would be nice if the prosecution occasionally had periods where they appeared organized.
