i did not waste my life on chess actually.. it teached me on to try other hobbies. so now i have been skating for 6 years, know how to play the piano and ive been simply learning japanese and it has been like 2 months.

Having a hobby you enjoy that is also very stimulating to the brain is not a waste as long as you have a life outside of chess, even if you don’t, you are still doing what YOU enjoy. Can’t be a waste
