My experience is that it doesn’t matter how well you do your job, it’s how well you kiss the ass of the person above you. And no I’m not a bitter person, because I’ve had management from other lines question why I haven’t been moved up and it’s quite simple- if they don’t like you- you’re not going anywhere. If they do like you- you can move all the way up. Those jack wagons who won’t promote me are the ones that constant come back to me to fix their screw ups. I’ve been sticking to my fence posts because above and beyond only gets me misused and abused

I can't fix my boss' biggest problem, because the problem is that he's too non-confrontational. He wanted me to fix my problem with a toxic coworker, and the guy has a severe personality disorder. I can't fix that.

💯 Correct! Hitting your goals is what keeps you as satisfactory! Going above and beyond and making your supv look good makes you look good! Also how you work well with others, etc
