My therapist tried to end the session 15 minutes earlier and he started to get up and I said “Where are you going? We still have 15 more minutes.” He sat his ass right back down!

Therapist here, unless the client comes in frantic to share something, i ALWAYS refer back to my notes at the beginning; yes, my actual notes. I share the themes we discussed and things we mentioned we wanted to circle back around to. this is so that we can track any changes in emotions behaviors circumstances since last visit. any new reflections, and to therapy sessions remain coherent and we aren’t always just all over the place.
