It’s laughable, there’s a huge difference in this tech boom compared to the dot com boom. These companies are making huge money, the dot com boom was all based on long forward earnings, not current earnings.

It all speculation but it’s kinda warranted. The United States is 39.9T in debt and the 10 year treasury yield just hit 4.72% which is the highest since 2007. Interest on the debt alone is over 1T annually and the government can’t print themselves out of this. No idea what happens but I’m glad my house is paid off and I have cash saved for a rainy day.

The market moves in waves and cycles, people panic too easily. I am however, wondering if institutional buyers are just taking advantage of all the new liquidity that's entering the market on the back of the new regulations that do away with the pattern day trader designation. A lot of cowboys out there on margin right now and over leveraged. Case and point, Leopold Aschenbrenner getting fleeced for 16 billion on margin calls by Citadel.

I think the interesting angle this time is how many mag 7 companies are borrowing heavily and how they are hiding it on their books with weird finance structures. Traditionally great companies are taking on more risk. The carry trade is getting dicey too. There are many factors at play. This could be a shakeout before NVDA earnings. I agree don’t panic.
