People just think of it as a joke it will never be seen as the same level as other prejudices based on uncontrollable things like race, sex etc… just because women and even most men just can’t empathise with short people because they already view them negatively. It’s not even frowned upon like fatphobia is which is literally a controllable thing and indicates bad health
