It’s something that most Filipinos say just because you’re going on a trip. It’s not something that you’re obligated to do, though. As a Filipino, I’d rather receive a ‘pasalubong’ because the item reminded you of me or because you thought I’d like it, not because I told you to buy it for me. 😊
