Brad Pitt is 62 and still one of the best dressed men in film, and the strange part is he's been three or four completely different people along the way. In the nineties it was long hair, sunglasses and whatever he'd clearly slept in. Then the sharp suit years. Now it's linen shirts, loose trousers, soft neutral colours, a hat, and glasses he probably doesn't need. He dresses like a man on holiday somewhere warm who isn't going home. Nothing about it looks planned, and that's exactly the point. He wasn't handed any of it. Grew up in Springfield, Missouri, and dropped out of university two weeks before finishing his degree. Packed his car, drove to Los Angeles with a few hundred dollars, and took whatever work he could find, including standing outside a restaurant dressed as a giant chicken. Thelma and Louise in 1991 changed everything, and he was only on screen for about fourteen minutes. After that he could have just been the good looking one forever. Instead he went and did Se7en, Twelve Monkeys, Fight Club, Snatch, Inglourious Basterds, Moneyball. Odd choices. Difficult directors. He kept picking the harder thing. He also quietly became a proper producer. His company made 12 Years a Slave, which won Best Picture, and he won his own Oscar for Once Upon a Time in Hollywood in 2020. Watch him in anything and he's usually eating. That's his trick, apparently. Gives him something to do so he isn't just standing there acting. #cinema #mensfashion
