@holyghoststudio: For the Weary Soul — a new series I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about how we speak about mental health within the Christian life. As someone who has personally wrestled with my own mind, I know what it is like to carry thoughts and emotions that can feel difficult to explain, even while holding onto faith in Christ. I don’t want to pretend those struggles aren’t real, nor do I want to reduce them to simply “pray more” or “have more faith.” Instead, I want to explore what it looks like to bring our weary minds, wounded hearts, and difficult seasons before the Lord, while allowing Scripture to remind us of who He is and where our hope is found. This series is for the weary soul. For the person who is trying to keep going. For the person whose faith is still there, but whose heart is tired. For the person who needs to be reminded that struggling does not mean you have been abandoned by God. “Cast your burden on the Lord, and He shall sustain you.” Psalm 55:22 #christian #catholic #bibleverse #devotional #faith
