When I was born my dad and grandparents brought one of the hats I wore home so my grandma’s golden retriever Cosette would be used to my smell and when I came home she sniffed me, wagged her tail, and then took my hat off me and when I would take naps she would lay right underneath me until I woke up then got up and got someone and when I became mobile she would go somewhere because she was old and didn’t really want to be pulled on or climbed on and I thought it was a game and poor Cosette was way too patient with me and took it until someone saved her which wasn’t that long of a wait it was maybe a minute😂 as a toddler she’d gently take mini marshmallows and popcorn out of my hand and eat it and a couple times she nipped me because I pulled too hard and my dad would say “recover babygirl that wasn’t a bite. I told you that hurts her so don’t do that” I definitely learned after the second time and I remember being so sad when Cosette passed away and would go through the whole house, garage, and backyard saying “Cossie? Where go?” And would tear up when I remembered she passed away😂 she loved me so much and I loved her just as much as she loved me
