The amount of people that act like you can just throw someone in a group home or institution in the blink of an eye is astounding. I’ve been commenting on all kinds of posts lately just arguing for the sake of arguing I guess because it pisses me off. “He’s dangerous and violent. Time for a group home”. Oh okay, Bob. I’ll just drop him by the back door and ring the doorbell and drive away. As if we are choosing to keep our kids at home because love the reality of this unbelievably stressful life and are rejecting the opportunity to get easy, quality, available care. NOONE CHOOSES THIS. My son didn’t choose to have profound autism. We didn’t choose it as parents. We’re just trying to get to tomorrow.
