About to start a new job and my inner child is having some abandonment and burnout wounds acting up as my start date approaches. They're kinda kicking and screaming because my routine is changing and they resent working. I'm trying to mitigate the fear and anxiety by doing things that spark joy, it's just hard when my inner child is like "I don't wanna!" while I'm like "The trinkets and hobbies you like cost money, and this job is about problem solving and we love puzzles!
